On 7:49 am, April 14th, 2010, a 7.1 magnitude earthquake centered in Yushu County of Qinghai Province, leaving 2187 people dead, 80 people lost, and 12135 people injured, among which 1434 people were heavily injured.

What a disaster can damage is only our houses, but never can it shake our faith in national unity. The cadres and workers from Han’s Yueming Laser in Dongguan City Guangdong Province worry very much about the situation in the earthquake stricken area. On April, 22nd, under the leadership of the president of Han's Yueming Laser, a love-giving activity was held to give full support to Yushu earthquake disaster region. All employees from our headquarter have participated in the donation program. Meanwhile, Jiangsu Production Base, Shanghai Branch Company, North China Branch Company, as well as other institutions functioning abroad have also held similar donation programs.

    The president sincerely expressed that, Han’s Yueming Laser, as one of the Chinese Nationality Enterprises, without the support from our Nation and the broad masses of the people, would not be able to develop so rapidly after economy Tsunami. When the country and the people are in trouble, we must stretch out our helping hands, as this is also an obligation that should be fulfilled by our Chinese Nationality Enterprises. We hope that many more enterprises and philanthropists from all walks of life would come to support, to care and to dedicate their loves to the earthquake disaster region, to help them overcome difficulties and rebuild their homes, as added by the president.
